The mission of Satel-LIGHT Groups Ministry is to connect Emmanuel Baptist Church members & adherents for the purpose of building relationships and promoting spiritual growth by establishing small groups in the local neighborhood. Emmanuel is a growing place and Satel-LIGHT Groups are a great way to make it small and intimate again.

What are Satel-LIGHT Groups?
EBC Satel-LIGHT Groups are all about friends, encouragement, prayer and study of God's Word! In a Satel-LIGHT Group you can take a break from the busy demands of everyday life and invest in what is really important: your relationship with God and your relationship with the people around you. In a church the size of Emmanuel it is impossible to know everyone but you need to know someone. Most Satel-LIGHT Groups consist of 8-12 members that meet for an hour and a half every week throughout the greater Halifax Regional Municipality. Our groups are led by specially trained facilitators and hosts.

Why should I go to a Life Group?
Things happen in a small group of people that don't happen in a big group of people. The Bible gives us many examples of how peoples' lives were changed when they met in homes with small groups of people. And the same happens today as we hear of how small bible study groups have provided friendship, support, encouragement and an opportunity for a closer relationship with Christ.
