Pastor Anderson gave his heart to the Lord and was baptized at the tender age of eight. According to the Church’s History, Lennett became Emmanuel’s youngest member. He is a graduate of Charles P. After three years as a Naval Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces Lennett was called into Pastoral Ministry. He was commissioned as an Officer in the Chaplain Services and is currently serving as Unit Chaplain for HMCS Scotian. Pastor Anderson is a dedicated Representative for the Provincial Baptist Youth Fellowship. He is an executive member of the African United Baptist Association of Nova Scotia. He served on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, and had the honour of representing the Youth of Nova Scotia as a Grade 11 student in the February 1993 edition of the National MacLean’s Magazine.

For his faithful service, Pastor Lennett has received many distinctive awards: the Lieutenant Governor’s Award; a recipient of the Halifax County-Bedford District School Board Medal of Excellence; the Medal of Excellence from the Navy League of Canada, and he graciously accepted the University Silver Medal in Theology from Acadia University.

Pastor Anderson returned to his home church in 1999, was inducted as full time Pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church on April 28, 2000, and subsequently was ordained into the Christian Ministry on September 2, 2001.

MacLean’s named Pastor Lennett Anderson as “one of five Canadian Pastors who are breathing new life into their communities.” Pastor Anderson has been featured in regional newspapers and media – such as: Live at 5, The Chronicle Herald, The Daily News, CBC, and Sounds Like Canada radio broadcast and 100 Huntley Street. Recently, Pastor Anderson was honoured to have his sermons be the inspiration of a solo art show entitled “Sermons”. “Sermons” is a thought-provoking, exploratory look at religion and spirituality, and were the paintings of local artist – Christopher Webb.

In August 2007, Pastor Anderson was elevated to the position of State Overseer for the Canadian Region with the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International, under the leadership of International Presiding Bishop Paul S. Morton.

Pastor Anderson presently serves as a member of the School Advisory Committee, Defence Visible Minority Advisory Group (Canadian Forces), African Canadian Advisory Committee (Nova Scotia Community College) and Region Representative for the Acadia Divinity College Alumni Association. The adherent membership includes people of various denominations and cultural backgrounds – exemplifying unity within the Body of Christ. His messages of hope and deep healing, which abound from God’s wisdom and compassion, have been a guiding light to a very successful and highly rewarding worship service – the church family. His continued commitment to teach and reach souls, by living the WORD OF GOD with conviction and boldness, is echoed through a major renovation project and new facility recently completed at Emmanuel.
