Due to the shortage of volunteers, there will be NO Junior Church for the months of July and August.  Parents and  members of Emmanuel are asked to please consider volunteering for this ministry in the fall.  Otherwise, we will no longer be able to provide Junior Church on a weekly basis. Monday, August 23rd @ 7:00pm -  Heads of Ministry meeting  will be held  in the Fellowship Hall, which is open to all Deacons, Mentees, Chairs and Co-Chairs of ministries at Emmanuel.  Your attendance is appreciated.

Thursday, August 26th @ 7:00pm – Deacon’s Ministry Meeting will be held in the parlor.

Saturday, August 28th – EBC Anniversary Celebrations begin with a Family Fun Day Festival at the UHP Community Centre.  Come out and join us for lots of fun, fellowship and food.

Sunday, August 29th – Emmanuel celebrates 165 years! – Please join us at 11:00am as we celebrate our 165th Anniversary, as well as Rev. Dr.  Lennett Anderson’s 11th year of Ministry with Emmanuel, with the EBC Combined Choir ministering in music.  Special guest speaker for services will be Rev. Brenda White, New Hope AME Church, Hanover, MD.  At 4:00pm we will observe the Commissioning and Installation of two new deacons as well as the Licensing Ceremony for our Minister’s in Training, with the Revival Tabernacle Choir as our musical guests.  All are welcome to worship with us for this joyous occasion.

October 15th – 17th – The AUBA Women’s Institute 55th Annual Sessions will be held at East Preston UBC.  Please see notice on bulletin board for more information.

October 15th evening – 17th AM -  Men’s Advance Weekend will be held at Bayside Camp.  Registration forms and details of the retreat are available in church foyer. 

AcadiaDivinityCollege’s Metro Extension Program is offering four courses this fall, beginning in mid September.  Please see bulletin board for more information.

Friday & Saturday, November 5th & 6th -  Emmanuel Baptist Church is *Planning, Promoting,  and Presenting the Financial Living Seminar -  ‘Freed Up’ at the UHP Community Centre from 7:00pm – 10:00pm on Friday and 9:00am – 4:00pm on Saturday.  Light lunch will be provided.  PLEASE NOTE:  Registration costs will be covered by the church (for the first 40 people to register) after which cost will be $25/person.  Registration forms are available from the church office.  Please contact Dea.
